Step 4: Training and Inspection
All potential resource families/parents must go through a total of 40-hours of training after they have passed their background check. This training includes the basic resource parent training provided by each individual resource families home counties. Once the basic training is completed, families/individuals will then take Sought After's 20 hour CSEC-focused , trauma informed parenting training where they will be training on what trafficking is, what is normal when a child comes out of the life with this kind of trauma, what they can expect, and how to prepare. Sought After staff surround each family even after the training to ensure they are supported.

During the training, there will also be a housing inspection of the residence of the potential resource family/resource parent. The training must be complete and the residence must pass the housing inspection before families/individuals can move to step 5.
